Funeral professionals provide great compassion to families who have experienced loss.  Still, many are uncertain how to handle the unique dynamics surrounding families who have lost loved ones to violent crimes.  This session is intended to help funeral directors understand the program offered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Attorney General's Victim Compensation and Assistance Division and how they can provide vital information that will enhance services and assist survivors in receiving compensation through the program.

On Friday, April 22th the Federal Trade Commission announced that they are taking legal action against the cremation company that promoted themselves as Heritage Cremation and/or Legacy Cremation.  The company is known for marketing their cremation service relying on algorithms which result in their presenting themselves as a local company when in fact they are not.
