This week we announced three recipients of the MFDA’s President’s Award. Also in this week, we congratulated and listed the graduates of the funeral service programs at Cape Cod Community College, North Shore Community College, and Goodwin University; shared MFDA President Brian Folsom’s address to the graduates of North Shore Community College’s Funeral Service Program; reported that the ABFSE Accreditation Team met with Goodwin University’s Funeral Service Advisory Board; updated the progress of the funding in the state budget for free community college education; and reminded funeral directors of Boston burial permits having a new online payment processor.

Also in this week, we provided highlights from the MFDA’s quarterly meeting, shared Worcester Telegram’s Memorial Day publishing deadlines, welcomed new Sperry and McHoul Funeral Home owner Matthew Pichi, and announced that Rosewood Private Investments acquired Milestone Funeral Partners and announced the June 12 annual meeting of MFDA.
