HELP WANTED: Full-time Licensed Funeral Director /Embalmer. George L. Doherty Funeral Service, Inc. is seeking an experienced, energetic and motivated person to join our family-owned business in Somerville. Applicant must have the following: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in computer and technology applications; experience in embalming and preparation; confidence, compassion, and empathy. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of assisting family members through a most difficult time in their lives. We coordinate and assist in the arranging of all matters that pertain to at-need visitations, funerals, cremations, memorial services, celebrations of life as well as pre-need arrangements. Position requires on-call shifts one or two day/night per week as well as a rotating weekend schedule. The applicant must be registered as a Type 6 director/embalmer in MA and hold a valid driver's license. Salary is commensurate with experience.
