Our session leader, Ben Schmidt, MBIT
Ben Schmidt is a licensed funeral director and embalmer with over 10 years of teaching experience at three mortuary colleges. He is an Assistant Professor at Northeast Texas Community College and an Adjunct Teaching Specialist at the University of Minnesota. Ben also works as the Community Engagement Coordinator at Frigid Fluid, is a textbook author, podcast host, and co-host of NFDA’s Funeral Face-Off Trivia. He serves on the American Board of Funeral Service Education and has presented nationally and internationally, including at CANA’s first embalming CE event and the Belgian Institute of Thanatopraxie’s 50th anniversary.
