OCME Annual Report Includes Data on Death Certificates, Reasons for Delays

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was able improve its rate of issuing death certificates and reduce the wait time for burial of unclaimed decedents in 2016, but the Office is still facing a number of challenges according to Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Henry Nields in his annual report to the Legislature.
