This week we informed you about a House bill that proposes funeral establishments be required to provide services for Department of Transitional Assistance recipients as a requirement of licensure. Also in this issue, we unveiled our new advocacy information central site, a new member resource; sought information about if members operate a foundation as legislation has been filed to prohibit such relationships; announced that the Diocese of Worcester has begun temporary changes for the St. John Cemetery System because of the non-renewal of a contract; shared that a guide on children and grief is available from The Good Grief Program at Boston Medical Center; and announced that Cape Cod Community College's Funeral Services Program will hold a new student information session.
