This week we advised members on the state regulations about when funeral directors take time off for the summer, specifically about the rules governing writing pre-need contracts. Also in this issue, we introduced a new online tool that makes state death data accessible; reported on the median age rising in both Massachusetts and the country, according to Census figures; shared that MFDA representatives attended the NFDA Leadership Conference in Phoenix; and reminded members to save the Date of Sept. 20 for the 2023 Funeral Service Appreciation Night.
