We also reported on proposed legislation that would increase the Social Security lump-sum death benefit from $255 to $2,900, reminded directors about the Nov. 7 Zoom informational session on MAVRIC, shared a message from the Registry of Vital Records and Statistics that it has numerous opportunities for data partners to learn and be ready to use the new MAVRIC system, and announced that there will be two OSHA training sessions offered in October.
