The Department of Labor has issued its long awaiting final revisions of the FLSA overtime rules. The changes could reshape how your funeral home determines which employees qualify for overtime. It's also a good time to revisit other funeral home worker classification issues. One thing that won't change is that funeral homes that are not in compliance with these new requirements- - or others already part of the law - - could face significant risk and liability and a loss of employee confidence. Who wants to risk that in a challenging employment market? Not knowing these rules poses a potential financial impact for employers, especially those with a small or mid-size team. The time for funeral home owners and their managers to get ready for the changes and review other existing state and federal employment laws and best practices is now! Funeral Directors will leave this meeting with information specific to funeral home HR issues to insure effective compliance, communication and implementation.
There will be plenty of time for questions and answers. We encourage you to submit questions or issues you would like our speaker to address in advance when you register!!!! Questions can be submitted on your registration form or emailed to
